Donald Allen Mosher

Donald Allen Mosher paints landscapes in oil. His paintings are beautifully composed, somehow capturing both the broad expanse of the Green Mountains and the essence of life in this rugged countryside. He starts his paintings in the field as preliminary compositions, then moves to the studio to insert the fine detail that all of his paintings exhibit.
A descendant of ship builders from Nova Scotia and farmers from Maine, Don Mosher is naturally drawn to the power of the sea and the tranquility of the New England countryside.
Don has won over 200 awards for his work. He has been featured in several national publications including Yankee and American Artist Magazine. His paintings hang in the numerous public and private collections throughout the United States and abroad including the Peabody Museum, Portland Art museum, and the State House in Boston.
