Mimi Sammis

Mimi Sammis is an internationally recognized artist and sculptor whose works are represented in more than 400 public and private American and European
Collections. The sculptures range in size from 1 to 22 feet. They incorporate fountains, moveable figures and sound. Sammis lives and works in Narragansett, Rhode Island;and San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.

“One Thousand Years of Peace,” Sammis’ most recent collection was exhibited at
the United Nations and the Hague Appeal for Peace in the Netherlands.

Using the lost wax process, Sammis begins her work in wax, and then finishes with
bronze, a material formed by earth and fire. This series of sculpture is monumentally successful in making the spirit a reality to the senses of sight and touch. Her bronzes are powerful images full of elation, movement, and joy.
