| The Green Mountain Fine Art Gallery in Stowe is pleased to present “Autumn Passage,” a show of new paintings by Vermont artist Bonnie Acker. The opening reception for the artist will be held at the gallery in Stowe on Saturday, October 4th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. The public is invited to meet the artist, talk to her about her work, and meet other art enthusiasts. Refreshments will be provided. Bonnie Acker’s work reflects her appreciation of the incredible beauty of Vermont – and especially the rural countryside that surrounds us in the spectacular Green Mountains. It is done in both pastel and oil. Her paintings are a result of her keen and unique perceptions of the seasonal changes that are so dramatic in this region. “During all the seasons in Vermont- with new spring greenness, July’s lilies in profusion, golden autumn meadow tones, blue-lavender snowy mountains- I try to create uplifting scenes that honor the community-building which I feel so deeply rooted around me” she explains. The show will continue through November. Green Mountain Fine Art Gallery represents 35 artists from throughout Vermont and the region. Media displayed include works executed in oil, watercolor, pastel, clay, stone, and metal. It is located at 64 South Main Street, in the heart of the historic village of Stowe, Vermont.
